Ho trascorso un'estate abbastanza rilassante in Italia. Quasi sempre soleggiata, quindi ho dovuto visitare spesso le spiaggie vicine :).
Ma...la Scozia!! Ieri gli scozzesi hanno votato nel referendum per l'indipendenza. Le ultime due-tre settimane qui a Glasgow (ma anche nel resto della Scozia credo) sono state frenetiche, con persone che facevano campagna elettorale, chi per il Si chi per il No. Alla fine il No ha vinto. Il Regno Unito è ancora unito verrebbe da dire, ma quanto più di prima?
Onestamente penso che, se avessero tenuto il referendum in un altro periodo storico, senza la crisi che stiamo ancora vivendo e con annunci meno spaventosi da parte di famose aziende (vedi BoS), il Si avrebbe vinto.
Ma questa è solo una supposizione ragazzi, non sono scozzese, non sono informata sulle discussioni politiche del Regno Unito. Leggo gli articoli di giornali e mi aggiorno su cosa succede, ma nulla di più.
Comunque chiudo la parentesi scozzese, ritorniamo a noi!
Sto pensando a questo nuovo anno accademico...un po' spaventata, un po' emozionata. Nulla è facile, dobbiamo sempre dare il giusto impegno ed il giusto peso a ciò che facciamo, sia questo il lavoro, l'università o la vita personale.
Sono positiva, cercherò di dare il meglio.
E... piani! Non è semplice pianificare. La prossima estate potrebbe essere il momento giusto per fare il Camino de Santiago. O probabilmente non avrò abbastanza tempo perché vorrei partecipare ad un internship nell'Hospitality and Tourism sector. L'estate dura 3 mesi e potrebbe non essere sufficiente per iniziare e portare a termine entrambe le cose.
Ma vedremo come vanno le cose :)

Time is running. I'm sure of that. I finished my first year in early May and now, here I am, September (with October knocking at the door), ready for the second year.
I spent this quite relaxing summer at home in Italy. It was sunny most of the time, so I had to visit the nearby beaches often :).
But...Scotland!! Yesterday they had to vote for the Independence Referendum. The past two-three weeks were so frenetic, with Yes and No people around the city of Glasgow (and I think around any city here in Scotland) doing political campaign. At the end, the No won. United Kingdom is still united we should say, but how much than before?
Honestly, I think that in another historic period, without the crisis we are still living today and with less-scaring announcements of famous companies (see BoS), Yes votes may have won.
I just suppose guys. I am not Scottish, nor am I informed about U.K. political discussions. I do read journal articles and stay up to date with what's on, but nothing more.

I am thinking about this new academic year...a bit scared, a bit excited. Nothing is easy and we should always give the right commitment and weight to what we do, whether it is a job, uni or personal life.
I feel positive, I will try to give my best.
And...plans! It is not easy to plan. Next summer may be the right time to do the Camino de Santiago in Spain. Or perhaps I won't have enough time because I really want to make an internship within the Hospitality and Tourism sector. Summer is 3-month long, and yet it might not be enough to make both things.
But we will see how life goes :)
And sorry for the long absence!!
